Clinical Features of Transient Growth Hormone Deficiency

Background: Most patients with idiopathic growth hormone deficiency (iGHD) in childhood have normal GH stimulation test results adulthood. The present study aimed to investigate the characteristics and possible etiology of transient iGHD. Methods: Patients childhood-onset iGHD who completed their treatment between March 2010 2021 were retrospectively studied. a clear history child abuse or constitutional delay puberty excluded. Ten diagnosis based on decreased rate findings at time onset included. Retesting demonstrated that these had level. Results: Five insufficient weight gain (BMI SD score < −1.0 start decrease BMI > 1.0 from one year before treatment). other five no remarkable clinical features. One patient height velocity same as sibling. Conclusion: Insufficient pre-treatment familial cluster cases may be related low peaks GHST, leading GHD.
